The word 'perish' conjures up images of deterioration and decay, like fruit rotting from within. On what specific day does passion leave a marriage or a worker lose interest in a job that once excited them? Like air leaking silently out of a tyre, what was meant to carry our weight and power us towards our destiny can now barely wobble.
If this is how you're feeling, allow this promise to take root within you: 'He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strength to the weak. Even the youths shall be exhausted, and the young men will all give up. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint' (Isaiah 40:29-31 TLB). The great apostle Paul told his admirers, 'We too are only human, like you' (Acts 14:15 NIV). We are all made of the same flawed material. That's why we need God's strength and mercy newly bestowed on us each day (see Lamentations 3:22-23).
So, what should you do when you're feeling 'blah'? Two things. First, if you're physically tired - rest. Second, think about how God's family works and stop isolating. The Bible says, 'Carry each other's burdens' (Galatians 6:2 NIV). The fact is, you have given to others in times past, now have the grace and humility to receive from them. Reach out. Use your connections. Start reading God's word. Listen to uplifting music and fill your space with praise. When you do these things, your focus will change and your faith will start to rise.

Projection isn't always about insecurity. Sometimes, it's grief. Sometimes, it's the ache of a life unloved. Sometimes, it's the version of themselves that they can't forgive staring back at them through you. Most people aren't seeing you at all. They're only seeing the parts of themselves they haven't made peace with.

ReplyDeleteSome schools too do o,I saw a video on Facebook where some school have different canopies for each graduating pupils and their guests with live bands calling them one by one to come and dance and spray money, the gifts nko, some schools shared wardrobe, big traveling box,na wao. Still waiting for the school that will share car, that reminds me of a father that posted a video where he was gifting his daughter a venza for her graduation into secondary school, my question is who go dey drive am? Can a 11 years old drive? Anyway, wetin poor man pikin like me know
This is not a healthy culture we are allowing in schools....Like let's allow kids be kids and enjoy life with each passing phases....What is this culture of always wanting to show off that you are better than them (if mama could see me now) putting pressure on kids at this young age....na wa oh....
