On Saturday July 26, 2025 Nigeria's Super Falcons defeated hosts Morocco 3–2 in the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), to clinch their record-extending 10th title.
Nigeria remains undefeated in WAFCON finals with 10 wins from 10 appearances.

I didn't watch but listened to its live commentaries from sport radio, I wa so unhappy when the opponent scored, I just switched off the radio, but when I heard shout of jubilation, omoh my heart couldn't contain the joy, had to on back the radio and oh the commentaries about their comeback gladdened my heart. Bravo Super Falcons, and thank you Mr. President for motivating and lifting the hearts of our women to go bring the trophy home.
