NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

One time I was working in this private primary school near my house. Teaching the learners all day would leave me drained because It was at the beginning of the year during our church’s 21-day fast.
I was so lean, pale, and weak, but my boss never noticed or cared. Instead, he’d announce every Friday with bold face, “Fellowship time! Wait behind, everyone!”

It didn’t matter if we had other plans or needed rest. The staffs will sit for hours, hungry and exhausted. I will sit down in one corner, pretending to be attentive.

He was a fanatic of this church (name with-held) that is more obsessed with appearance than concern for people.

He'll say, “God is watching oh", if anyone tried to leave early.
Not once did he ask why I looked so frail.
Not once did he notice I could barely keep my eyes open.

One day, I almost fainted during prayers, and he didn’t care. I realized then that I was just a tool to him. A pretentious fanatic with no heart, that is what he is!
That night I thought long and hard about everything and quietly updated my rรฉsumรฉ.

A week after, I resigned.
Could you imagine that this man tried to guilt trip me, saying "You are turning your back on this children who needs you the most."
Trust me, I gave him a bombastic side eye and said,
"No, I am turning my back on abuse disguised as spirituality."
I walked away from that job and never looked back.

As for my church, I stopped participating in the fast and six months later, I left for another.
Some churches fast to grow spiritually but mine nearly drained me dry.
My peace returned when I left. God didn’t stay behind, I carried Him with me.

Hmmmm!!!!..God is everywhere for everyone,he is not seated in one Church waiting for people to worship..Know this and know peace ya'all!!!

DIFFERENT KINDS OF BESTIES

1. The Competitive “Bestie”
A friend who constantly compares grades, looks, followers, or attention. If you get an award, instead of celebrating you, they sulk or try to outshine you.Healthy friends celebrate each other, not compete with envy.

2. The Manipulative “Bestie”
They guilt-trip you or say, “If you were really my friend, you would…” Forcing you to keep secrets that make you uncomfortable, or pushing you into risky behavior. Real friends don’t control you—they respect boundaries.

3. The Jealous “Bestie”
They get angry if you hang out with anyone else. They say, “You’re not allowed to talk to her, you’re MY best friend.” Possessive friendships can turn toxic and even violent.

4. The Gossiping “Bestie”
They share your secrets with others or laugh about you behind your back. You tell them something personal, and the whole class knows by morning. Trust is the foundation of real friendship without it, there is no safety.

5. The Draining “Bestie”
They always take but rarely give whether it’s time, money, or emotional energy. They call you only when they need homework help or someone to rant to, but disappear when you need support. A one-sided friendship is not friendship it’s exploitation.

A true friend will protect your dignity, celebrate your success, respect your boundaries, and stand by you in public and in private. Anything less is not friendship.

A SIMPLE GREETING CAN OPEN A DOOR THAT A CROWD WALKS RIGHT PAST

Let me tell you a quick story about opportunity and respect.

A group of university graduates arrived at a pharmaceutical company in Oregun, Lagos for an industrial attachment interview. As they entered, one by one, they walked past the security gateman without a word of greeting , focused only on their goal.

All except one.
One young man paused, looked the gateman in the eye, and offered a genuine greeting. The guard, so often made to feel invisible, was delighted and greeted him back like an old friend.

As the others flocked inside, the guard quietly beckoned to the respectful young man. He shared a crucial piece of information: the company had already filled all its slots the day before. None of them would be accepted.

Then, he did something life-changing. He gave the young man the name of a contact at another company in Ikeja and told him to use his name as a reference.

The result? The crowd of students left empty-handed. The one young man who saw the humanity in the gatekeeper was guided to a new opportunity and was accepted.

Moral of the story?
Never underestimate anyone. Respect isn't a strategy for gain; it's a reflection of your character. But often, it gets rewarded in unexpected ways.
The people who seem to "hold the door" are not always the ones in the corner office. Sometimes, they're the ones who 'guard' it.

NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS

Nobody talks about after you finally heal from a traumatizing relationship.
When you have taken the time to concentrate on yourself and you are finally in a place where you're done healing and you are ready to step out into the dating world again, it's nearly impossible to find someone because you see the red flags in everybody.

You see so many things you're not willing to compromise with because you actually trust your intuition.

You can see when things are an issue with people, and you know you won't be able to get over it later on in that relationship.
So you don't allow your feelings to get in the way of logic and just cut it off before it even gets to that point.

Then you realize how many people aren't actually working on themselves and are just seeking a shallow connection.

They aren't even looking to improve themselves as a partner in a relationship, and they think their perfectly fine the way they are.

So there's no room to grow into a relationship together because they are already set in their ways.

It's a little exhausting at times because you also feel lonely during all of this and that sadness can take a toll on you but you have to remember one thing .....

It's better to be single with high standards than in a relationship settling for less.

  6. About 3 a.m., I received a call from one Chief Onuh from Enugu State. He mentioned my name and said that two women, ( called my paternal name), had allegedly brought my pictures to his shrine, asking him to inflict me with a stroke that would eventually lead to my death.

He instructed me to fetch seven cups of water in a bucket, add salt, and mix it with sand from my compound, making sure no one saw me doing it. He said he would also perform his own sacrifice to preserve my life, as his wife had pleaded and cried on my behalf.

The man then started listing items I needed to buy for the sacrifice, including native kola nut, while also stating the prices. When he mentioned the dog, he said the cost ranged from ₦50,000 upwards, and asked how much I could afford. I told him I didn’t have money. He became angry and warned that my pictures should not remain on his shrine after 7 o’clock.

At one point, he asked if my parents were around, and I replied that they were, though not in the room with me. Later, he called again but claimed that MTN had warned him I needed to call back. This was after he called to hint me, I was visibly shaking. I told my parents and we prayed and concluded that they were scammers

    BVs pray for me๐Ÿ™

  18. good afternoon my people, i was the person that posted on SP this morning asking for best option for master. I base in abuja, work with a private organization. Uniabj has backlog as from 2019 in my department that are yet to graduate, even if i apply next year no sure hope since there is backlog already before now.

My worry with NOUN is since i am coming from a federal university (Uniabj) and moving to NOUN may not sit well. I don't know how many organizations treat people who have master from NOUN and if is okay i proceed with my master there. Someone once said they frustrate their student from graduating in NOUN, i don't know if is true. If there is any surest university i can run the master program without any issue within my base, kindly recommend. Thank you.

I am an executive mgt staff of a reputable institution and I am telling you the truth. If you can afford it, go to one of the private universities in Abuja, especially NILE University, for your Master's.

I used to dislike boiled eggs as a kid . I preferred the fried ones until I grew and discovered that boiled eggs are good and healthier. I try to eat one or two boiled eggs every day now as an adult.

I love the aroma ogbono adds to soup. When I want to make okra soup, I usually put a little ogbono, just to get that taste and aroma. And oh! The sliminess is always the star of the show for me๐Ÿ˜„.

  24. Hello Eka. I saw the exchange between you and Teejay, in the Spontaneous post, this morning. Teejay did not downplay Hilda's achievement in anyway. I had to read his statement over and over again, to see where he downplayed it, but I did not see it! All he tried to do, was to draw a comparison between Nigerian youths and Nepalese youths. Your attack on him was honestly uncalled for.

    3. If u can’t read with foresight, pls mind ur business. He’s upset that thousands of people came out in their numbers to support a woman trying to achieve a name for herself globally! I’m even annoyed that I have to come and explain this.

      Delete
    4. Isn't this joro to joro too easy to detect?

      Delete
    5. Eka, how was Teejay upset? What "foresight" was needed to read and understand an innocent statement? And no, I won't mind my business. This is a blog where we are all free to state our opinions, as long as they are devoid of foul words. I don't have anything against you, however, if I see something wrong, I will call it out. It is my right to do so.

Ehen, to the anons saying it was "joro to joro", is this how you people falsely accuse people on this blog? I even finished my statement with the name I usually go by on this blog, yet it was labelled "joro to joro". Is this how Teejay writes?!

    6. Well, I also saw something wrong and I called it out and if you don’t see someone mocking people that came out in their numbers to support someone trying to achieve a global feat, then maybe I should call u out too.

    7. Once again, thanks a lot the Distinguished one. Only mischievous people here will say they haven't seen your ID here before. Very good you affixed your moniker which they're still implying it's me.

The truth is that, that statement wasn't even mine. If people will be sincere and go back to it, they will see where I stated someone said before making it. It was even Omoyole Sowore that tweeted it. I even started the comment with a laughing emoji. I'm still shocked that I was trying to pull down a woman's effort according to someone who sees nothing good in me.

If I want to do that, I will start by attacking the cooking itself. I didn't even mentioned anything Hilda or cooking. The emphasis was the 20,000 people chasing hot jollof rice which I see as a joke. So I'm still trying to understand my mistake.

I still remember how I showered Hilda Baci with praise for her crafts and record. My exact words were, ''Hilda is a proof that a woman will have all the curves, both front and back endowment, beautiful and still be this smart and intelligent. The comment is still online. So which nonsense foresight is this all about?

D distinguished one pls pay no heed to inconsequential things. It's in them, they'll never accept their wrongs.

    9. I totally agree with what the distinguished one has said, I do not think Teejay was downplaying Hilda's effort, and yes naija youths should be more interested in matters of their nation rather than hot jollof ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

  30. The difference between like, love and in love, is the same as the difference between for now, for a while and forever

This fact I don't quite agree with it....Is love in its true meaning really bound by time? Not looking at the preposition used in the context to describe love....I believe love is not bound by time.....

    Good afternoon my good people.

Different kinds of besties, I used to have a competitive bestie when I was in school. We sleep in the same room, eat from the same plate, like we were inseparable but her competitive nature is top-notch ๐Ÿคฃ if I buy a dress, she won't tell me it's fine o, she'll only ask where I bought it from and the next day you'd see her with the exact dress and I'd be like ah you no even tell me say you like am. Even down to academics, if I score higher than her, she'd pick up my script and be cross-checking to see what was that I wrote that made my score higher.kai it was so draining.

Well, I struggled to stay away from garri ijebu for some months and thought I had won, but the way I am craving it now, it is beginning to look like jazz to me. I no fit bear am again and will have to visit the stores soon. Its not even like I will drink it. 90% of it will be eaten dry and though I enjoy it, I know it is not good for my system.

I just started adding salt to my eggs when boiling them. I dont know why some eggs no longer have taste. Just like you are eating what I cannot describe.
