In his words:
“I’ve spent over 25 years in Nollywood, but the reality is, it hasn’t rewarded me the way people assume. I still can’t afford the kind of life I want. That’s why I’ve decided to step away from acting and relocate permanently to the U.S. If everything works out, I might even join the army there or find a solid job to build a better life.”
Eyah. At his age, he should be enjoying the fruits of his labour, not starting all over. I truly feel for him.
ReplyDeleteNollywood has not rewarded many of you veterans, may God open new doors for you wherever you go.
Joining the military would be better for you. At least you get to enjoy the Perks of a veteran for serving the country when you retire, unlike Nollywood that abandoned their legends when they are ill or old.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing I think that affected you was the stereotype. Bad boy/gangster typa roles. Hey, I might be wrong though, but you sure did grace our screens then
My brother,do what best works for you.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you are happy, anyone can say what they want, their opinions don't matter.
Congratulations to him for escaping this zoo
ReplyDeleteLike, so proud and happy for him.

ReplyDeleteKevin was stereotyped. This didn't allow him explore and reach his full potentials in Nollywood.
ReplyDeleteAll the best.
Okay o, so how successful and well doing are the none stereotyped? Nigerian fails her citizens every day in every field of life.
DeleteYou've tried for Nollywood but still you didn't blow.It is not late to start all over.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best Kelvin.
Congratulations, wishing you all the best
ReplyDeleteWhat a country
ReplyDeleteEeeeya, he is one of my favourites especially in Yoruba movies.
ReplyDeleteMilitary in the U.S will suit him, he looks fit & strong 💪 May God favour you in U.S Kelvin.

Al the best to him
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he can join military at this age again, my husband was rejected at 35 then..Most of our actors especially the veterans are not really enjoying at all. I wish him all the best.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Join which army? You look about 50. Get a CDL and start driving. Or train in plumbing etc etc
DeleteAww, I'm sure going to miss you on my screen Kevin, all the best bro.
ReplyDeleteBv God's Favor (formerly Anne K)
So happy for you king, USA shall favor you. Nollywood/Nigeria don’t deserve your talent anyway.
ReplyDeleteAll The Best
ReplyDeleteHello iya Boys
Wishing you all the best.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish you can join Hollywood over there
Hmmm
ReplyDeleteWhat visa is he using to migrate to the US? I hope it's not a tourist visa oo.
He clearly doesn't have a job lined up, so he's definitely not on any of the work visas available.
He also mentioned possibly enlisting, but there is an age limit to that. Army (42), Air Force (42), Navy and Coast Guard (41) & Marines (28). If he's been in Nollywood for 25 years, then he may very well be in his late 40s/early 50s.
Being an illegal immigrant in this day and age is not for the faint hearted!
Some people think when you escape to the USA everything will just fall into place. They forgot that the odds that are against you abroad is very challenging. If he cannot improvised in his line of field in Nigeria which the social media has lower the leverage a little bit, then he needs to look over at his talent all over again. New commers are doing skits on social media and making it big, this are the lines he should have explored instead of going to an empire that's is about to collapse. At what age?
