National Conference Delegate To Get N12M Each?....OMG!

Bakare, who represents Ogun State said his decision to ignore the allowance was to dispel any speculation that his motivation for accepting to take part in the conference was because of the money involved.
The presidency had earlier announced that each of the 492 delegates to the National Conference would be paid N4m per month for the conference, which is expected to last for three months.
N12million x 492 = ?
*so this is what all this clamour to be involved is about?
free exclusive food,free lodging,and 4m per month?

  11. President Mugabe of Zambia insulted Nigeria in his speech yesterday, saying should Zambians be llike Nigeria, where you have to bribe your way through anything or pay for everything''the truth is we are becoming a disgrace to the world and its a pity that we are like this.
We have to pay delegates this much to address our country's issue,we pay to get jobs, even students now pay to check their results in some schools, its such a pity we are like this, we need a new Nigeria, a new country.

  17. Our leaders are soooooo USELESS reading this kind of stuff is very very annoying. This is to show that this government is as CLUELESS as EVER. This gathering is total waste of money, fund can be channelled to better use. Can you imagine giving out 4Million to 494 youth involved in last week incident such fund will create new entrepreneurs and will also bring change to families and country, that's the change we clamour. We already know our problem as Nigerians is LEADERSHIP i believe if we have leaders that love the country and not selfish looters we won't need national conference and Nigerians will live together as one. JONATHAN CHANGE YOUR WAYS. I THOUGHT YOU WILL BE BETTER THAN YAR ADUA BUT YOU ARE WORST,VERY CLUELESS PRESIDENT. THIS IS TOTAL WASTE OF RESOURCE.

You are inviting a citizen to come & discuss issues that will make or mar the country & the future generation & you are paying them SUCH an amount of money to deliberate on the issue? are you supposed to pay them? is it not an honor for them to be invited in the first place?
What kind of leadership do we have? what sin have we committed that we have such clueless leaders been foisted on us?
The only thing they are good at is forever looking for ways to throw away money that is meant to develop the nation.

  34. Zimbabwe: Nigerians Are Corrupt - Mugabe
    17 March 2014 , Source: Vanguard
President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, has taken a swipe on Nigeria, labeling the country and her citizens as corrupt. He made the remark during his 90th birthday luncheon hosted by the service chiefs and the public commission.
Mugabe said Zimbabweans are now almost behaving like Nigerians who have to be corruptly paid for every service.
"Are we now like Nigeria where you have to reach your pocket to get anything done," he said. "You see we used to go to Nigeria and every time we went there we had to carry extra cash in our pockets to corruptly pay for everything. You get into a plane in Nigeria and you sit there and the crew keeps dilly dallying without taking off as they wait for you to pay them to fly the plane," said the president followed by a huge laugh from the delegates attending his birthday bash.

The current corruption rankings in the world rank Zimbabwe's corruption a lot worse than Nigeria. Nigeria is ranked 163 worst corrupt country in the world while Zimbabwe is an embarrassing 170 third from the bottom.
The report was carried by Bulawayo24 News, based in Zimbabwe.

  39. Please don't chew me but here's my 2cents. I don't have a problem with the figures. It works out to about a 100k per day. Now consider that an average room at the hilton costs 60-80k per day, now include their feeding transportation n all, I don't have a ProbLem with that. Here's my problem, those people on that list can never genuinely represent my interest or my problems with Nigeria. This is my Nigeria, I am this generation. Their time has passed. They have brought us to this point. For crying out loud, why will ALAmiesegha be a part of that conference? They're all a bunch of thieves, disgruntled politicians, Traditional rulers who have done nothing in their ethnic regions save for a few good men. That is my headache with Jona. If they had put together a group of well meaning nigerians who have left their genuine businesses to stay in hotels for 3months, 100k a day would have been a small price to pay but I bet u, it's a jamboree, a time to assemble chics, smoke weed and party all night. Well, all I can say is AIDS is real. ,

    1. If the government was not going to pay for sitting in that conference, none of those people you see on that moronic list will go. But because of the money involved, people lobbied to be on that list. Like you said, majority are people of questionable character. They will achieve nothing.
