Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja.
The statement said the government received the report of the theft of the Senate’s mace with shock.
DAILY POST reports that thugs suspected to be loyal to the suspended Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial district, Ovie Omo-Agege had invaded the red chambers and forcefully taken away the mace.
They broke into the chambers when plenary was going on, creating serious confusion and tension.
Few minutes later, the mace was reportedly recovered and the hallowed chamber resumed sitting.

ReplyDeleteImagine someone who is selected and not elected in a constituency going around with thugs all cuz he was suspended.

Please enough of these probes. When the common man is not safe on the streets what do they think?? There should have been adequate screening in and out of the senate building. The thugs these politicians used to rig elections will continue to expose them. I weep for my country. Bunch of shameless senators. Thugs!!
