Saturday In House Gists -My SDK Blog Journey...

Today we are taking a walk down memory lane....Blog wise!

I am sure we have people who are yet to tell how they ran into this Blog....

Yomi says....

''In 2012, it happened that I used to visit one other blog often, one day.

I visited as usual and I saw comments about how one Sdk is very charitable and generous on her own blog, trust me, I like free online airtime that much, so I said, why waste time here when you are not going to win anything? abeg make I go visit this much talked about blog jare whether I go see shoki, yes, my fingers are fast like that.

I quickly logged out of this my former favorite blog and enter Sdk, hoping to see shoki spread all over the place but to my uttermost surprise, nothing like that, however something more, my wild eyes ran through the blog and got fixed at TTC post.

I opened the post, read the testimonies and concluded God must be here, I also went to IHN and practically saw how Stella does free adverts for bvs, then and there, I concluded this was my blog.

Six years later, I'm still following Sdk blog, did I ever visit the former blog again? No!, have I won shoki before? yes! Did I invite anyone to this blog? Yes, my husband, did I meet new friends here? Plenty, including Kemi Akere who has been a blessing to my family, but most of all, I love this blog because of the OWNER (She knows herself, lol), she's selfless and super nice, and I hope to be a financial partner to this blog in near future..

This is my Sdk blog journey, what's yours?

*Nice one..

    2. I have been a closet BV since the #jallabiya scandal. I came out of my closet only of recent. What endears me to this blog is SDK's selflessness, the amazing BVs here(BVs of old were crazier though dropping tea hot hot hot) My favourite reads are WNB(clears throat)...infact all the sections. God bless you Stella. If you contest for 2019 elections, you go win o.

    10. I was a fan of linda ikeji blog then and there was a post about her having a beef with stella dimikokokos. I was wondering which kind of name is dimikokokos. I curiously decided to read the blog and loved it. It took me many m9nths before I learnt how to pronounce or write dimoko korkus. And now I read linda ikeji's blog once in a year or less. I was here before the invention of chronicles, omugwo, labour room, etc. Then sdk blog was like every other blog. I love the way she has rebranded. I have also introduced many to this blogπŸ˜›

    14. I have been a silent BV since April 2013 and i hadly make comments.it was Mercy Aigbe Gentry and her hubbys story that brought me to this blog. The news was everywhere on how her hubby caught her in her nighties in Sola Fajobi's Troy Lounge in Ogba where they both went seperatly for same occasion. Stella gave it hot hot. I was on Linda's blog but someone mentioned Stellas blog, I typed on Google came here, saw it hot hot, got hooked like a tick and the rest is still history in the making. I have introduced countless number of Peep's here. I just tell them if you need a phenomenal blog Stella dimoko korkus is the place to be and voala they are hooked.

    18. Found your blog through Linda Ikeji's blog. Anon 21:50, I believe it is the same story with link to this blog which I also read. If I remember correctly, she put the link as source of the story which was the right thing to do when you post a story that isn't originally yours. Stop your bitter ass kissing. There was no mockery.

People kept wondering how it was possible for her to sit in Germany and know what was happening in someones kitchen here in naija. Before then, I got to know about Stella through her column in Ecomium Mag. Some times, I will say to myself, this Stella Dimoko is very daring, that how come will someone spill jists about celebrities like this without the fear of acid bath? But I must confess, it has been an amazing journey so far on this blog. I met amazing and interesting people. I have been privileged to meet few face-to-face. I started following a very long time ago.It should be between 2012/2013.I think someone mentioned the name in another blog and I checked it out and got stuck till date.Things I've learnt on this blog can't be bought with money honestly.Though a gossip blog but true life lessons are learnt.I remember that series on Domestic violence, where a lady took us through her journey, lessons I learnt from that series will be passed to my children and children's children.I more insight about so many things I never knew were going on through chronicles. Then those days of adverts in in-house nes, then mama Nnuku's gist,I remember when she got a job. There were also a lot of giveaways and it was fun seeing people getting stuff from people they don't know.If you talk about a blog that has impacted lives of people, both mentally, financially etc it is SDK.Although I get really distracted these days with the likes of Instagram and all but this is the only blog I open out of all the other blogs that use to exist.

Then in 2015, I sent my picture for a birthday post and also sent shoki (lol). I got really nice comments from most people. Queen and Boss (Linda) really liked my picture and kept attacking the few bad belles.
That's how that friend of mine kept saying you are lucky o, I saw your birthday post, everyone was praising you including Queen and Boss that doesn't say anything nice about anyone. I couldn't understand why my friend was so invested on the blog. I guess I understand it now.

2011, I used to visit mostly OMG! for gist, a colleague at work told me, be doing oyinbo there, your isoko sister de dish out hot naija gist all the way from Germany...
That was the first day I logged onto SDK oh. I was still doing one leg in and one leg out then I think sometime in 2012, Stella did a domestic violence post featuring Kafilat Sogunro and her 'boxer' boyfriend.
Her (Kafilat) friends and enemies were all over the comment section of that post, washing their ROTTEN laundry in public!
I remember someone, I think Bloglord saying Stella had opened a can of 'runs'...lol.

After that day naim I build duplex on top this blog πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Miss the days of Jagbajantis (wow! wow! wow!), Diamondblinq, Evie, Mamie, Goldscent Diamond, Patt Ogar (congrat), Der Palmweintrinkter and others...

  61. I came across Sdk blog since 2012.
Wa's just sitting in my office alone one morning, and I said why do I visit only one blog, that is how I went to Google ohhh and ask the thing question say oya give me the name of one of the best blogger, the first name to appear is our own special Stella dimokokus blog, that is how I became glued to it and have invited almost all my friends, my collegues and and my British oga in the office.

But the funny thing is that most of the people I brought here have benefited one thing nor the other, but me ...........

  62. I heard about it from a colleague in the office a few years ago, he sent his picture on his birthday and he asked me to check it out, the comments were hilarious, SDK yabbed him too cos he has Kpomo lips and I've been stuck since then. I won a
50 dollars giveaway on a rant post but I never received it, sent lots of mails to Stella but still didn't receive anything. It doesn't matter though, I'm here for gist and not for giveaway.

  65. Ahhhh, I won't "waka pass" on this. I started reading this blog in 2016. I stumbled upon it and I have introduced people here. Finally, I met my husband via a comment he dropped that I "followed". So I can safely say, I found love, genuine happiness and fights plus selflessness from SDK-She could have easily pocketed all those monies from Bvs, who for know?

  82. How I came about this blog

My immediate younger sis and I were talking about one domestic violence case like that and I was telling her, I never knew women went through such. Then she told me that one was little compared to the one someone posted on this blog. Then I didn't use to follow any blog, I just follow whatever link with any story I'm interested in.

Then she told me to just Google domestic violence Stella Dimokokorkus blog. This was mid 2014. I did just that and the domestic violence diary sucked me in. It was so deep and intense.

And since then till now, I don't think there's any day that passes by that I don't visit this blog

Search online on ways to get over heartbreak, stumbled on Stella's blog, before then I googled top blogs in Nigeria and Sdk was on the list. Used to read lots of blogs then but sdk stood out, the mature comments, the days of doc, (can't remember his name) with his inspirational posts made me look forward to sdk everyday.

One in particular was my fave until one Person who had a beef with SDK on that blog said something about her and I decided to visit the blog and stay. One thing that kept me was the fact that Stella would come to the comment section and interact with bvs. Also, the posts didn't make me feel like she was trying to shove a person or values up my throat... Well except adokiye lol. I remember ppl like Ezenwanyi, Mamie, chizoba, pepper, okija wife, etc. I also know that linda eze is one of the oldest bv with a blog Id. I remember the story of Nuela hanging around the "bedroom of power" as Stella put it back then lol. Would never forget the drama btw Tony and prinkies and then Tony's conversion. The hustle for recharge cards was very real in my life back then as I was Mc hammer broke at the time. My blood would boil whenever I missed the 1pm or night time shoki. Lol. Now I have hung those shoki boots for those like me back then who really needed them. Going down memory lane on this blog makes me see how this this blog has been a part of my life. 101. My story . I have heard of Stella Dimoko somewhere before ,as well as on Nairaland . I have somehow stumbled on your blog and read a news report years back as well but can't recall now . I was not much of a blog person so I didn't think much of it. I was browsing in early January this year and somehow stumbled on SnM posts and decided to read some old posts, I saw spontaneous news, I later got to know of IHN,then chronicles. Had issues with the abbreviations and asked bvs anonymously. I got hooked so much that I couldn't do a day without reading SDK. It's like my daily dose πŸ˜€ .I post anonymously but I later decided to get a blog ID.The day I got a blog ID, I was so happy. I am glad I know SDK blog. I got to know this blog at a point where I was down emotionally and also depressed. It gave me hope, it made me laugh,it gave me something to look forward to and I learnt a lot as well . Bvs were ready to answer your queries, yab you and laugh with you. And I also got to know how kind hearted Stella is . This blog has been getting me through this year. My only regret is not knowing your blog years back. Could have gotten me through some down time then . People close to me know I don't joke with SDK. God bless you SDK ,God bless this blog.

My addiction developed when I was going through a heartbreak and would specifically come on to read Chronicles sent by people going through similar issues. It really helped me through the emotional pain then of course I sent in my own chronicle and got great advice from BVs. I was very touched and got over the heartache much quicker. I love SDK.
