Boredom Eliminating Post

NO,it is not but then anyone who says it is,has a rght to say so .......Two people cannot see same thing ,same way..

  1. To some people, not everyone.

    1. Marriage is an achievement that's why we get a certificate. Marriage is an achievement dtz why kids born outside a union are referred as illegitimate and not recognized legally.
Marriage is an achievement thats why children born within marriage have a sense of security & a level of confidence,no matter how poor they seem to be.
That's why embassies give preference to married couples when granting visas.
Marriage is an achievement, yes That's why marriage is one of d ways of getting permanent residency & green card in other countries.
I don tire to type abeg

    2. According to human standards

    3. According to the constitution of fhe federal republic of Nigeria 1999, no child shall be referred to as illegitimate

    4. Are you really for real?

  2. Yes,especially when you married "well"!😁😊
Any woman who says marriage isn't an achievement is either a bitter feminist or never experienced marital bliss!πŸ˜‹

    1. @Veteran chikito
      Did you write "married well?"
You mean that "well" wey aboki them dey dig?
Na only ajuju I ask o
Cos when you been dey tell us say you dey marriage dey ride every rod
including cranshaft 😯😯😯, na which kind "well" be that one?
Na only question I ask o

    2. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚@ANG

Well yeah marriage is an achievement, every step of progress in life is an achievement ,
Especially when you marry the man God reserved for you .

    3. madam fork, shebi you don dey look for my trouble na?
When I say I married "well",it means I am happily married.
Do I even need to explain myself to you?
Oya face front before I report you to my thunder!

    4. Okay Madam veteran,πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯ thank you for explaining yasef. 😊😊😊
I don dey used to ya troubles, no be arrows πŸΉπŸΉπŸ”«you go shoot
I don dey miss ya troubles tey tey

  3. Yes! a beautiful marriage is an achievement. Mine will be in Jesus Name, Amen.

  4. Marriage is one of the biggest achievements in the world... A successful marriage is a fulfilled life.

I was opportuned to work with some old married Caucasian couples and they said their marriage was the best that they ever achieved in their lives. Their kids are all gone into the world living their lives, no more jobs and what is left for them is their companionship, their bond, their marriage.

    Yes, marriage is an achievement.

  5. NO: Marriage that God joined together is FAVOR FROM THE LORD Prov. 18:22, that is what the Lord taught us.

But for SOME Naija girls, marriage is a passport/visa to Obodo Oyinbo -abroad, escape from poverty, live Instagram display lives/nurse their greed, the degree certificate
they never had (with their brains etc.)
    Phewwww! I forgot to add...
Fork all the forkables and pass the kids to them husbands...
    Those kinds of marriage?
Make you no yarn them say e no be achievement o?
Ndi uta πŸΉπŸΉπŸΉπŸ”«πŸ”« note that I said,
SOME Naija girls; if you dey among them ngwa shoot!

    1. Ajuju πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    2. If I get you right, you are saying marriage is not an achievement but a favor from God. I beg to disagree.
God said, he who finds a wife has found a good thing, and obtains favour from the Lord. First there has to be a ‘search’ then the person’s search is rewarded when he ‘finds’ a wife. Since he searched, finding can be regarded as an achievement. The favor is God’s blessing on the union. (I belive this applies to women also as a woman also screens marriage proposals)
We dont have to always see things from the woman’s angle alone.

    3. @Mystic
Thank you for disagreeing honorably instead of shooting arrows 😊😊😊

Proverbs 19:14 Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the LORD can give an understanding wife.

Ecclesiastes 7:26 I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

Proverbs 23:27for an adulterous woman is a deep pit,

and a wayward wife is a narrow well.

28Like a bandit she lies in wait

and multiplies the unfaithful among men.

John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; APART FROM ME

I know that a lot of you may be disappointed that I am not considering my beautiful, blissful marriage "my achievement"
I know that it was God's gift/favor (which I did not merit).
However, what happens is that we work it out with "fear and trembling" and all by the Grace of God.
The pitfalls (of seductions) that my marriage has escaped was due to the Lord opening my/our eyes to see
them even before they came. I've shared some of them here and will share more when occasion warrants.

    4. Anon 19:30. A Wedding is not an achievement but a Marriage is. Simply because God has landed you a spouse(favor) doesn't mean you rest on your oar and expect it to work just like that. When God gives you a wife or husband and you get married you still need to put in a lot of effort and compromise to make it work because what you put in at the end of the day is what you get.God won't come down to do it for you. So you keep at it till the end and if it brings forth a beautiful result in the end after so many years of being together through it all despite every obstacles you must have surmounted and you reap a Lifetime of happiness, love, beautiful memories etc now that is an achievement!
      Effort +good result=achievement

    5. @20:29
So you no even see the third to the last line I yarn upπŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘† there?
okay make I copy am paste for ya benefit.

"However, what happens is that we work it out with "fear and trembling" and all by the Grace of God."
Please try and read me before jumping to crucify me inugo?

    6. I read you well and that" working it out with fear and tremble" led to it being an achievement at the end of the day. Wasn't crucifying you, why should I? Just pointing out that that particular statement I quoted"work out" based on the definition of what that term "achievement" is, automatically makes it an achievement even though you chosen not to see it that way sogbo?

  6. No it is not, in my opinion.

It's just part of life's processes.

If I should be told now to list my achievements, I can never say; married, four kids, middle aged. even. e.t.c

It'll be more in the line of the number of degrees and professional courses I have under my belt, the impacts I have made on the lives of those around me at least, my integrity and it's not so bad if I add material acquisitions like houses and cars.

  7. Yes.. It is an achievement when you marry the man of your heart.

  8. My marriage is an achievement. I am priviledged to be in a happy place. I thank God for all I have

  9. Yaba left escapee25 August 2019 at 18:22

    Marriage can either make-or-mar you...
It can be a gateway to peace of mind, happiness, long desired dreams... etc. YES! Its an achievement when ure entwined with the right partner.

    1. @Yabaleft escapee (wey doctor no discharge)
All these your entwining grammar na on top of marriage matter?
I wonder who you will get entwined with.
Will you make or mar the sisi?
      Ajuju n' ese okwu.

    2. This ANG you are a case i swearagad..Mehhhnn U are a big case study but i love ur sense of humour anyway. Kedu ka imere nne?

    3. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚wey doctor no discharge

  10. Using my sister as an example? it an achievement for her, things she has achieved in her marriage, believe me when i say, if she wasn't married she wouldn't have achieved some of it, the marriage is not just an achievement to her but a blessing to her and everyone that comes in contact with her

  11. An understanding of what an achievement is, will enable you answer rightly.

At some point in life, we have thicked to do/to have/to achieve list.

E.g get a degree, master, etc. And on that list, have written get married at so, so age.

So, whichever you have achieved, you either do a list thick or mental thick.

If marriage has been on your to do/to achieve list in life, then, it is an achievement.

But if you have never desired to be married, then, it's not an achievement.

To me, marriage is on my to-be/ to-have list.

    So, it is an achievement.

    Thank you. (Drops mic)

  12. My brother gates ,God bless you. Even the bible says " 2 is better than one ,because they have a better reward for their labour". And it also says "a good wife is an inheritance from the Lord ". Please scripturally it is , so to me ,it is , cus through Christ mine will be. Go and tell Oyedepo" s wife or Adeboye"s wife that marriage is not an achievement na. Unhappily married people or divorcees will soon come and litter this post with their tales of woe wrapped under the guise of independent feminists. I greet una. Just know that, just cus yours isn't, doesn't mean it isn't.

  13. Oxford dictionary-
Achievement- a thing done successfully with effort, skill, or courage.

Yes, marriage is an achievement, as is getting a degree, giving birth, building a house, nurturing a business, etc. To me, 2 things matter - is it a goal you set for yourself? Is it working out well for you?
No one has the right to water-down someone’s ‘achievement’ simply because you don’t see it as important to you.
Yes, some people may carry their marriage ‘on their head’, maybe it’s because they are not aware that they can achieve so much more than marriage in this life; that’s what they should be schooled on. You don’t tell them they have achieved nothing, tell them they can achieve so much more.

  14. it's an achievement for females our paths has crossed

  15. Stella yaff come again with this kind of qweshon. Let the comments begin

  16. Understand the meaning of achievement first before answering.

    Yes, marriage is an achievement.

  17. If marriage is not an achievement for you, then why get married, since it's not an achievement then why bother going into it.. To me it's an achievement because it has made me more responsible and I have achieved
a lot through marriage.. My business, the connections I have today I got through marriage.. If you marry right yes marriage is an achievement, but if you marry wrongly then it's not..

  18. marriage is ought to be an achievement as it was so from the begining God ordained it..but you can decide not to marry for a reason paul said so

  19. An achievement is something somebody has succeeded in doing especially after expending a lot of effort or because they possess a superior ability. Is marriage therefore an achievement, I think not. You didn't do anything special. Somebody fell in love with you(or not) and you got married. Unless of course you expended a lot of energy in getting someone to marry you and then they did, it might then qualify as an achievement for you. The danger in referring to marriage as an achievement is that it makes it look as though single people are doing something wrong or not doing enough.

    1. What about the 'effort' invested in making a marriage work? Doesn't it count?

    2. Thank you anon 19: 28. This here is what makes it an achievement. When God gives you a wife or husband and you get married you still need to put in a lot of effort and compromise to make it work because what you put in at the end of the day is what you get.God won't come down to do it for you. So you keep at it till the end and if it brings forth a beautiful result. Lifetime of happiness, love, beautiful memories etc now that is an achievement!

    3. How many people married the first persons they fell inlove with?

How many relationships and heart breaks have alot experienced in this journey of getting married?

How many did you have to date/court to get married?

My dear, it is an achievement.

Because we have sick people, shouldn't mean we shouldn't thank God for health constantly, even in their presence.

So, allow married people to flaunt or celebrate their achievement. For Most of them, it wasn't easy.
Single people with such mindset you stated, should change it

  21. As I never marry, how would I know? πŸ˜‚But on a more serious note, I don't think so. 🚢🚢

  22. It is an achievement

  23. Yes! Marriage is an achievement to me

  24. It is an achievement because few of your friends WHO ARE NOT MARRIED ARE NOT HAPPY, OR THEY PRETEND TO BE HAPPY. IF it is what you want for yourself, then keep looking. If it is not then dont borther whether it is achievement or not. Keep running your race.
I have been married for 18 years, I have one of the best marriages. So, I encourage people if it what they want, if not BE HAPPY

  25. I am where i am today because of marriage and yes marriage is an achievement.

  26. Coolest Kid In Africa (CKIA)25 August 2019 at 20:00

To most Nigerian women marriage is an achievement as women see it as a way to escape from their parents, being responsible for their upkeep and the main one knacking without guilt. They also see it as their means to procreate as most of them don't want to be without a child or children as their biological clock ticks. Most Nigerian men only see marriage as an achievement when after mgetting married to their wives they realize that certain blessings or break through came their way.. This is my own view sha

  27. U get married and congratulations roll in from all parts of the world...yes it is an achievement

  28. Marriage is NOT an achievement. Anybody who says that has not achieved ANYTHING in life. A good marriage is a blessing and a bad one can be said to be misfortune but NOT an achievement. It's like saying having a best friend is an achievement and not having one makes you a failure. Well, tbh with Nigerian women marriage is actually an achievement. They spend their whole lives working, plotting and scheming to get married. Nigerians need to go outside and see what women All over the world are doing. You won't even REMEMBER marriage when you are continuously striving to better yourself and your community. Marriage is only an achievement in Nigeria. I have been in a long term relationship now common law and I have no reason to want or get married. My SO brings it up once in a while but it is not that important not to talk of being an achievement and I have been putting him off for almost nine years . It is an achievement to those who have worked and studied for it and taken it as their goal in life while to others it is one of the many blessings people want or have or some even don't want. Do not raise your daughters to think of marriage as an achievement. Achievement my ass!

    1. By the definition of the word ACHIEVEMENT, a good marriage is an achievement. Having beautiful friendships in life with good people is an achievement(not every one is good and that lucky when it comes to making lasting friendships with reliable people) Your long term relationship is an achievement, graduating college is an achievement( sleepless night, studying, etc) buying a car is an achievement, having children raised and brought up properly as responsible individuals is an achievement. Anything you put an effort in and is going beautifully well or turns out well for you at the end of the day is an achievement.

  29. yes,it is an achievement to me because I am in a good one.
The connection to my current job, smart and cute kids, a decent house for my parents,my warm home, this feeling of satisfaction I have in my heart are all thanks to my supportive husband.
He is not perfect either am I but we are determined to make it work .
Happy tenth year wedding anniversary to US!

  30. Marriage is an achievement for me, thank God for my hubby(he is a gift from God to me)
especially when you come from an extended family where they don't get married, is either they are living together without paying their bride price or them 'born' children keep or the Man will take a walk after sometime leaving the woman stranded.

  31. The problem is people do not even understand the meaning of achievement. Know the meaning first, apply it to your marriage then come back and answer the question

  32. Well, it is an achievement to me cause if not because of marriage, them for no born most of us. Abi no be so? πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚

  34. I see marriage as an achievement for both parties in a good relationship, although I'm not married, but I've seen people who are married and can imagine what their life would have been, if they are not married. Making your marriage work is the hardest part of the work.

    Soon to be married babe

  35. No it not. Because not everyone finds fulfilment in it. But for something to be achieved, there must be a journey to getting that goal. Or seeing through an ambition or actualizing a dream and meeting up with targeted objectives.
So the achievement in marriage is the effort, patience, tolerance, sacrifice, perseverance etc. Put into ones marital journey to make it work and turn well, admist the storms, the cold and heat.
The trophy in it is, if you actually succeed with your marriage over it time - that's how a marriage becomes an achievement. Not necessarily because one got married. Finding fulfilment and living through it peacefully is the achievement.

  36. Why do people feel good when their comments get many "likes" online? The same goes for marriage. As a business person, you feel sad when nobody wants the goods in your shop. It is known as bad market. The same goes for a person who is not married. It feels like the whole world rejected you. Even if a lady is the one rejecting suitors, she feels inadequate that only the desirables are approaching her. Her self-esteem goes down. Is marriage an achievement? YES. We are have an innate desire to be desired and appreciated. Some single ladies can pontificate all they want, but they live in a society that has norms and values. Marriage will not be achievement if there is any culture/society where it is not appreciated. Are you single and old? Then you are an undesirable. Why do you think Shiloh organizers are making a killing? Why do you think SDK SnM always have the most responses that Stella has to cut the replies short? Everyone is looking for his/her better half. Even if it doesn't work, at least there is an evidence that someone "priced your market". Yes, marriage is a big achievement. Anyone who thinks otherwise is free to move to an island and live by herself.

    1. You are a big fool with zero sense of reasoning. This is the worst analysis so far and should NOT be taken serious by any smart person esp single ladies. Very wicked soul you got in 2019 ooo. You need river baffing cos normal deliverance no go reach!

When you here some people have very timid mindset in this life; this ode right here is in their board of directors

  37. You cannot determine how your spouse treats you. It could be good at the early stage, stormy in the middle and calm, indifferent, bland or sweet at the end. The order could be reversed, swapped or same tempo til death do you path.
Life circumstances could change people, affecting how spouses behave in a marital union.

The work or effort you put in marriage could either succeed or fail depending on how your spouse responds and the God factor.
There are cases of good, godly loving spouses whose partners never appreciated or reciprocated.

A SUCCESSFUL marriage is a BLESSING not an achievement. It is the GRACE (Favour) of God.

For those who said marriage helped them achieve a lot in life, please know that there are others who marriage killed their dreams.

Marriage was first GIVEN to mankind in the Garden of EDEN.

Yes, two Labour and have a better reward for their combined efforts, however.....

Paul planteh, Appolos watereth but GOD GIVETH THE INCREASE.

Some would say not all successful married couple believe in God.

Marriage (Successful) is still a favour from God.

    1. God bless you!!!. An achievement can be attributed to your efforts and consistence but people may have put in even more efforts than you and have woeful stories to tell.

A wonderful marriage is a blessing just like having a good best friend or an outstanding parent, it's not because of your efforts but God's grace and favor.

  38. Marriage is an assignment not an achievement!

  39. I'm single however my opinion is, a SUCCESSFUL marriage is an achievement.
