Former Oyo First Lady Florence Ajimobi Reveals How She Reacts When She Catches Her Husband Cheating And Gives Marriage Advice

Former Oyo state first lady Florence Ajimobi had a conversation with her daughter, Abisola Kola Daisi on Instagram live, and revealed that she has caught her hubby, the former governor Abiola Ajimobi cheating on her several times but forgave him each time...

She also advised her daughter on marriage issues and how to turn a blind eye to a man's cheating ways.
Check end of post for the video Interview

Mum -Even on one or two occasions that I've caught him cheating,

Daughter Abisola -Doing what?

Mum -Cheating, cheating, and then he will apologize. And once he apologizes and it ends, I never go back to them again, I never Bisola, I never ever discussed it ..... what I'm saying is, to err is human, to forgive is divine. We are friends Even though as a wife, sometimes I fall below his expectations. Sometimes we do things that is even worse than cheating.

Daughter
-Like what, What is worse? What can I do that is worse than cheating?

Mum- I know some women that build houses without their husbands knowing.
Having a relationship with the woman he loves is making love, it's not having s#x. So if you are cheap enough, give yourself to my husband, he will use you and go his away. He's mine and whatsoever is mine will come back to me.

Daughter
- (mutters 'wow' below her breath) and says out loudly " I agree with that"

Mum - I tell people it's my leftover you are eating, he's my leftover, I've eaten the better part of him, I get the chunk of the meat, eat the bone, it's none of my business

Daughter
- Exactly!!!

Mum
- As you are doing it hush hush hush, you are not enjoying it. Cos you are stealing, you are looking if somebody is there....... Am I going to be caught? He's my husband, he can't go anywhere else. If you don't love your husband you won't be jealous, a woman who doesn't love her husband will not care what he does out there. She doesn't care. Even when you see him, you don't care.

(Continues with her conversation) :

'' When I see my husband, you know, ahn ahn, I feel like dying. When I love him so much and I don't want to be seen as a failure to lose him to somebody else, so I fight for him. I'm always fighting for him, always fighting to get him back, and he knows. Do you understand what I am saying?

Sometimes, I see my husband... I can google the girl's name and then I just print out the picture and put it on the bed. When he comes back from work, he sees the girl's picture on his bed and he knows the girl.
"I put her name, I put her telephone number(Abisola exclaims "Yeeeh") and I don't say a word. I don't say a word. I've done it before, ask him. I print it out.
Because, when I see the phone, I use Truecaller, it will give me the name of the person. I'll google the name of the person.Even, one was living in America. I googled her, printed her picture, put it on the bed.
What do you have to say? And I left.

So, when he went into the room, he saw it on the bed. I don't know what happened. I wasn't there. I don't know what he did But, you know, he now came to me later that, "Can we discuss?" I said, "About what? Nothing to discuss" 'Do you want me to send her away?' I said, "Pay her off'."

Abisola - Mummy you are SAVAGE!!

Mum- I want to keep my home. So, where would I go? I'll go and be staying alone, when I've laboured all these while then somebody will come and enjoy? Never, It's not going to happen. Never! Never. Never! Never!

  9. To each his or her own! I do not cheat and will not accept a cheat.

Building a house without your spouse knowing is not worse than cheating with different women/men.

    Cheating is wrong.

This beautiful woman is old skool and she has trained herself especially her mind and heart to be able to handle her husband's cheating ways; but, there are so many other women who can't handle a cheating man.

My mum never lacked infact when I think of it I am always angry that she was so pained she refused to eat his money. So from her own experience I always eat my husband's money if I see, I don't like doing any contribution to the house except necessary. He does most of it. If to say I dey my mama position with my kind of dad as husband I will suck him dry that he will know what it means to have two wives. She was so emotional about it.

Which reminds me of a certain former governor of Ogun State who caught his wife with her side bobo. 1. Your own hard is not someone else's hard. Not all marriages are hard btw. If a man doesn't cheat and he is faithful that takes away the chunk of the problem. A marriage where a man cheats will always seem hard. She didn't make any point. She won't tell you about her sleepless night. How she cried herself to sleep most night. How she developed hbp because of a generous giver. Look at the street she went through. Printing a side chick photo and placing it on their bedπŸ₯Ί if she wasn't that bothered she won't bat an eyelid. Let's not talk about the other things she must have done which she obviously "forgot" to add. I am not surprised her husband cheated anyways, those men in power cheats for reason different from what you think.

      Delete
    2. She made no points in my opinion.she is letting her children know they are nobody without their husbands. Thus encouraging them to remain in domestic violence situations and if they have a philandering husband they should collect diseases they bring with Joy. Madam if your husband is cheating, know your limit. Most mother's are treating high BP while the men are healthy because of infidelity. I pity we women. There are more impressive role models, look at Mo' Abudu, look at Florence Ita Giwa. There are several women who have achieved great things as single mothers.if you must remain in a cheating marriage at least you are gaining something material. Hian!!! He will cheat and you will still be contributing feeding money, house rent, na wa!!!!

    8. A lot of women think they can cope with a cheating man till they find themselves with some one like that. Wait till you get into that situation then come back and tell us everything with a smile across you face.

My coursemate was a side chick like a confirm runs girl. I helped her with project as the bookworm of our department and she paid me. I will advise her to stop but she would call me deeper life etc. She would hit her chest and tell me that if she gets married she won't be bothered at all if her man sleeps with the whole neighborhood because she has had her fill.

She got married and we still kept contact after school. She calls me weeping profusely. Aunty what happened nah? She said her husband was cheating with a girl in their area, with a colleague at her office bla bla bla. I had to clean my ears because that was a girl who bragged about not caring if her husband cheats. It was then I realised you never know what you will do till a situation happens. Look at the lady who commented yesterday that she may kill her husband and the NYSC lady. This woman won't tell you everything she went through and the pain she felt. Just Be careful what you wish for. May we not marry a cheating person either men or women. Amen.

In this era where people sell charms to entice men et al, you won't blame some men cause they don't cheat with their clear eyes..Some re jazzed into doing it, So women shouldn't give up the fight and allow sidechics to win with the help of jazz

    19. 9:44 your comment reminds me of a yoruba movie I watched. I think the title was" ABAWON". muyiwa ademola was the main actor. He was looking for a wife.

He met the First Lady but she was a chronic smoke. She smokes like a chimney every where they went to. He started complaining she got upset and left him that he was nagging too much for her liking.

He met the second one. Too much partying has entered her system ehn. He comes back from work he won't meet her, he won't meet food. Today she is travelling to abuja tomorrow portharcourt. He brought his friends home told her to prepare something nice for them but she left them to grace her friends occasion and they ended up taking water. He left her too.

He met another lady she can cook wella very homely but has a temper like a hurricane. She fights everyone in the area. Fights his mother, father slaps and tear his clothes.in short she was hulk Hogan even broke bottle on his head. So he ran away.

Then he met another one and another one till he met the last lady who was perfect in all areas. But it turned out she was a chronic cheat. She sleeps with the security man and the errand boy and even his friend. Then he got tired and he was advised and told in the end that everyone has flaws and no one is perfect. Very interesting movie.

If a man and a woman keep changing fear would catch them ehn. Many married women have are cheating even a deacon in church was asking my friend where they should meet. Yes she is married with children. I couldn't believe until I saw her picture. No make up no earring very plain serious looking woman.

Most men that cheat,do it most times because their wives made their home a living hell..

I’m really confused. I’m not married. But I have seen how lots of adults are out there. Many don’t have home training. Many don’t have good characters. This ain’t about men alone, it’s both.
Can we say parents spend so much time focusing on each other than their supposed home? Most women with this type of story end up transferring aggressions to their kids. I know cause I’ve seen things happen.
I just don’t think something like this should be shared.

You can't be efficient working two full time jobs. This woman's entire CV is her husband and she seems to be fine with it. Her gamble paid off since he didn't die or lose too many elections. Some will say if he cheats responsibly it can be handled.......whatever works for you. Divorce is never the best option either...there are so many other things coming in to play. 40. Hmmm, what can I say? She has spoken from her perspective, and like it or not, this is practical advice. Is it ideal? No, but it’s practical.
My main problem with this type of mindset is not just that the men cheat, but we enable this cheating by letting them know that ‘we are going no where’. He knows this, what then is to stop him from cheating?
I once attended a wedding where the MC jocularly prayed for the couple, told the woman ‘don’t ever cheat, if you cheat you will be caught and disgraced’ and told the man ‘don’t ever cheat; if you cheat, if you cheat, e go remain small make them catch you’ and the men in the hall were filled with joy and gladness🀨
It’s ingrained in our society, because we don’t have laws that protect women. If we did, the stakes would be higher, cheating would not be exterminated, but not as brazen as it is now.
Sometimes I read advice here where women are asked to pack up and leave a cheating husband, smh, that is the ideal response, but how practical is it? In this society where some women are nothing without their husbands, abi wasn’t it on this blog that someone said a woman doesn’t have to bring anything to the table as she is the damn table πŸ˜•? Where do you go to if you can’t butter your bread without your husband? That’s the first practical hurdle. Then even for those that are independent, leaving could be difficult because they don’t want to be alone, it’s not everyone that will be lucky enough to remarry, and even fewer people will be lucky to get married to a faithful man. They weigh their odds and remain where they are since the society and this type of thinking has ensured it ‘rains almost everywhere’
    It’s really a pity.

Money is not my problem. but usual pickmes would never understand I guess. A man is meant to provide while I support but a man expecting me to shoulder all his responsibility must be dreaming or looking to see if I can lift his own weight must be high on something.

There are a lot of women who feed and cloth these men but they still take these women's money out there to spend on other women. So it has nothing to do with women depending on men for the most part. My cousin is stinkingly rich but her hubby is a whole baggage on his own. Cheats with everything in lingerie and adds nothing to their home. If only she knows she is the table she would have kicked his behind to the curb. Women need to know their worth girl.

They cheat with other men physically and emotionally but will claim they don't.

Even when they do...they will give excuses that the man started cheating before they decided to cheat.

Most men who find out that their wife cheated actually hide it and continue the marriage.

Yes..many men throw their wives out...but most men who find out actually keep that marriage.

And most men who find out their wives cheat will never say pim to anyone about it.

Why? Because you Are automatically seen As a weak man the moment people find out your wife cheated. So most men keep it silent.

Fact: more Married Women cheat more than Married men. You just don't think so because the women don't do the chasing. The men do.

But no woman will admit to this fact. After all....they get more guys asking them for sex than the other way round.

It's one thing if your spouse made a mistake and he's genuinely remorseful and wants to rebuild the marriage. That's worth working on.
But for him to keep cheating, knowing that it hurts her, knowing that it breaks her heart, it means he doesn't genuinely value her or care if she's hurt.I know if I loved someone, I wouldn't keep doing things that hurt them. Would you want your daughter to live in pain and heartbreak? Always wondering if he's cheating, if she's good enough, what she's doing wrong, crying herself to sleep and all that? Is that the life you want for your daughter?
Like the Hausa woman who stabbed her husband for cheating. It never had to get to that! She should've just left him.
I KNOW that if Florence was the one doing this, Ajimobi would've dumped her a long time ago! 5 children or not.
African women, we need to hold our men accountable more. We give them too much of a pass and that's why they feel that cheating is their birthright. They CAN be faithful. Their western counterparts don't have two heads.

We're sad that because of the way this was discussed they have enabled the current and future generation of men to believe that there are no repercussions for cheating on their wives, after all their wife should stay and keep the home.
Adultery is a sin and is the only scriptural grounds for divorce. When any partner in a marriage dishonours the other and defiles there marital bed by sleeping with another woman, they have breached the covenant they entered into with their spouse.
Adultery should never be encouraged, applauded or overlooked. And actually it brings judgment upon the one who commits adultery.
Whilst I respect Mrs Ajimobi, I am really sad about what she shared. This should not have been a public discussion. She has exposed her and her husbands nakedness.
