EX Gov Peter Shuts Down Fake News Trailing Him...

Peter Obi has strongly denied reports claiming he traveled to Rome to meet President Bola Tinubu over an alleged ₦225 billion debt crisis linked to Fidelity Bank.

Obi clarified that his visit to Vatican City was purely for spiritual reasons, specifically to attend the funeral rites of Pope Francis and later the installation Mass of Pope Leo XIV. He stated that he only had a brief, unplanned greeting with Tinubu at Saint Peter’s Basilica and did not hold any private meeting thereafter with him.

Obi who described the allegations as baseless, malicious, and part of a blackmail campaign aimed at damaging his reputation also denied claims
that he owns Fidelity Bank, saying that he previously served as a director, and that the bank is owned by over 500,000 shareholders, with no single individual holding a controlling stake.

  1. With everything going on in this country, some persons have decided to focus only on Peter Obi.
He sleeps, it's a problem. He wakes up, it's a problem. He travels, problem. He stays at home, it's still a problem .
It's good he set the records straight, especially as it concerns Fidelity Bank. These mischievous persons will twist everything to suit their malicious narratives.
I'm sure the usual suspects - FFK and Reno- will still reply him. They never get tired of their stale propaganda.

  4. People and their sense of reasoning, so he left Nigeria to Rome to speak with the president . So they believe he couldn’t see him in Nigeria or what. What ever Peter do now is news to some, especially when the are eager to drive home their selfish agenda.

  5. People that are not catholic are accusing someone that is a known catholic. Most Catholics around the world, given the opportunity will attend the burial of the pope and also at the celebration of a new pope.
