Rapper Diddy Trial Week 3 Day One - Diddy's Former Assistant Sang Like A Bird

The testimony was explosive.
More details we never knew about were spilled by Diddy's former assistant, Capricorn.

That woman sang like a bird on the stand while crying uncontrollably.

CAPRICORN'S TESTIMONY

She used to be Diddy's personal assistant from 2004 - 2006, she's worked with a lot of industry people including Rihanna and Suge Knight.

First day on the job, Diddy took her to a place called Central Park with his head of security (Paul Offord).
He said, "I didn't know you had anything to do with Suge Knight, if anything happens over here because you're connected to him, I'll k#ll you."

Who tells an employee that on their first day?

Well, she continued to work for him because she felt she should've been more transparent about her work history.
Diddy would keep security around him 24/7.

In her words, "it felt very serious in nature"

Prosecution: Did he ever talk about guns?

Capricorn: Yes, one time we were at MTV Headquarters, he had beef with 50 Cent, he told 50's manager in the elevator "I'm not about to do this back and forth, I like g∆ns"

MORE WORK HAZARDS

An expensive piece of jewelry Diddy loaned came up missing as they were packing for a trip to Miami. Diddy said "no worries, just stay back, I'll go to Miami alone."
His head of security Paul ransacked her house and didn't find it.

He assured her that it was okay.

The next day, they took her to Bad Boy headquarters (the building looked like it needed to be renovated, that was a decoy).

They entered inside and locked the door from the outside.
On the 6th floor, a big, black, hard-faced man sat at a long table smoking cigarette.
The man said she was about to take a lie detector test.

He said, "if you fail the test we'll throw your @zz in the East R°i√er."
The test results came back inconclusive.
The man blamed the outcome on her being too nervous, that if he couldn't get a clear result she'd end up in the ri√er regardless.

She said she was in that building for full work hours, testing repeatedly. Nothing changed.
He eventually dropped her off at her house and said he'd pick her up the next day.

It was a daily routine for 5 days straight, 8-10 hours of kidnap and testing.
Diddy never reached out to her all the while.
On the 5th day, she was permitted to go back to Diddy.
He acted like nothing happened.

She said to this day she doesn't know if the jewelry was returned.
(Who knows if somebody got k#lled?)

Prosecution: And you kept working for Diddy?

Capricorn: Yes, because I didn't want to look like I stole anything.

She said she was overworked, 9 am to 4 am everyday (whaaat?).
Yet made a paltry 65k a year.
She said one time she had a meeting with the HR and told her she was owed 80k every 3 months.
She gave the paperwork to Diddy, he looked at it and ripped it to shreds and said "get back to work!"

HOTELS

Prosecution: How often would Diddy stay in hotels and what would he do?

Capricorn said he spent a day in a week with Kim Porter (first time she's introduced into a hotel setting), other days with Cassie.

Prosecution: What would you bring?

She said he would have a camera bag containing a camera, miniature size baby oil (as usual), lube.
Pills had to be in his drug bag 100% of the time.

They lodged for 3 to 4 days (that's like living in hotels, but we know why)

She'll be in her room trying to catch a sleep while he would be doing the freakoffs.
Afterwards, she'd have to clean the rooms. There'll be oil handprints all over the walls. And everywhere soiled.

CASSIE, SECURITY, STAFF... PUPPETS?

One time, she was in the kitchen with Diddy's chef (Jordan) and Lauren London.
Diddy came in and said "let me tell y'all why you ain't got no man."
He called Cassie in and told her shut up, she did. Sit down, she did. Stand up, she did.

Look left, she did. Go get that, she did.
He finished off saying "get the f#ck outta my face" and she walked out.
He boasted, "you see, that's why you b€°€¢hes won't get a man cos you won't do that".

Prosecution: Have you seen him fight with anyone?

Capricorn: He p∆nched his head of security, his barber Curtis, and constantly threw phone at his staff.

Summer of 2006, they were at his Miami mansion on an island.
It had its own road, with water at the back.

(Are you imagining how stupendously rich that man is?)
Pharrell was coming for a music video shoot on the next island, so she took a boat there just to have fun.

Diddy called during the shoot and barked, "didn't I tell you not to leave? Bring your @zz back over here!"

When she got back he said, "You know, the problem with you is that you want a f#cking life, ain't no life here, this is the life!"
Basically saying she's not allowed to live and have fun.

The next morning she said she hated being there to the chef.
The chef told Diddy and he charged at her saying, "you hate it here? You hate it here?" At the same time shoving her out of the house.

She said after that she quit.
But guess what? She came back.

JOB ELEVATION

Now Capricorn was serving as the brand director of Sean John women (his clothing line)

She was making more money in this new position and didn't have to work directly with him (he'd asked her if she wanted to return, she really liked her job).
The luxurious lifestyle was a dream. Diddy was on top of the world.

Plus, the access the job gave her.
Girl was vacationing with Rihanna back then.
In 2011, she started working for Cassie and they built a friendship.

One time, Cassie texted her that she wanted to bring Kid Cudi to Capricorn's house so he'd join them for a hike at Runyon Canyon Park.
(This was when Cassie and Cudi were becoming an item).
Capricorn was like, are you cr@zzzy? Too many people are out there, in fact delete this message.

(Delete, because, they were both texting from phones Diddy paid for).
She took Cassie to a phone store to buy a burner phone.
When asked why, she said "the way Cassie was moving she was going to get us all keeeld".

(People in the court were like we feel you sister, we feel ya).

DIDDY ALWAYS 10 STEPS AHEAD!

Early the next morning, Diddy came to Capricorn's house, he was banging the door angrily.
She was peeping through the peek hole. He wore ripped jeans and had a g∆n.
He ordered her to open the metal door and said "why didn't you tell me about Kid Cudi?"
He said beexch get dressed, we're about to go keel him.

She was scared as hell.
They got in Diddy's black Escalade and drove to Kid Cudi's house.

On arrival, Diddy and his security Ruben broke into the house.

In the car parked outside, she called Cassie on the burner phone and alerted her about the break-in, she heard Cudi's voice in the background.
She said Cassie should stop him from coming over there.

Diddy came outside and said "who were you on the phone with?"
He found out it was Cassie.
Shortly after, Cudi's Porsche pulled up around his house and he saw Diddy outside.
Cudi zoomed off (oh wait, so he lied? Cos he didn't testify that he ran from his house like that).
Diddy quickly got in his Escalade and chased after him through the streets of Hollywood Hills (this is giving Fast and Furious).

Capricorn said the police came and Diddy ended his mission.
Then Diddy ordered her to go get Cassie.

Capricorn complied.
Another instruction to Capricorn,

"Once you get Cassie, you and her have to convince her to tell Cudi not to tell the police that it was me in his house. Else, I will keell all of you mo'fvkaz".

She picked up Cassie and told Cudi their lives were at stake if he told the police.
Cassie said "do you really think he will?" (Is this girl serious?)

So they got to Diddy's house.
Okay... Wait for it...

He was waiting at the door in just his bathrobe and underwear.

Cassie walked in quietly, Diddy threw open the robe and started karate-ki¢king her. From her neck to her back all the way outside the house to the streets.

Cassie said nothing.
The security did nothing.
He said to her (Capricorn) if she stepped in he'd phuxck her up.

At some point Diddy yelled at her to get out of his house, took her car, and made her walk all the way home. 
She said she looked back at the middle of the street, he was still kc#king and st∆mping Cassie.

She called her mum and said "he's beating your daughter. I can't call the police but you can."
"Why didn't you call the police?" The prosecution asked.

She said the whole mission of the day was to get Cudi not to call the police. So she didn't want to complicate things.

After that incident, Diddy would randomly say "why did y'all do that? I should keell both of you be€°ches, you let her cheat on me."

She wasn't allowed to befriend Cassie anymore.

In 2012, she reached out to the President of Bad Boy Entertainment, Harve Pierre. She told him about the same incident.

The man said "yo, that's crazy. it's all going to be okay."
She needed a listening ear, only for her to be put on a 30-day notice and fired.

The excuse was that she didn't properly clear her vacation with Rihanna in France.

She said she lost everything, car, healthcare, job, apartment, cos they were all through the company.
Diddy told her "you will never work again, I'll make you keell yourself."

THE 2ND OR 3RD RETURN OF CAPRICORN

In 2016, she came back to work with Diddy as the creative director for Cassie.

Everything had to go through him, from Cassie's look to food to schedule.
Eventually she was relieved of the job.

He never truly forgave her after that Kid Cudi/Cassie cheating incident. He felt she was disloyal.
But she kept contacting Diddy to get her job back.

CROSS EXAMINATION OF CAPRICORN

The defence was not ready for her to come up with a storm of information.
So they tried to paint her as someone secretly in love with Diddy and pulled up a 2021 text message of her telling him she missed her job had a crush on him.

In a mail sent to him in 2023, she wrote "why can't you forgive me?"
She also apologized in the mail for allowing Cassie to cheat on him with Cudi.

(See, Diddy the manipulator would always make you think it was your fault)

Prosecution: Why are you trying to get your job back?

Capricorn: I miss my life. I have no parents for assistance and I have to care for an autistic son.

But the real reason was, she's been unable to get a job.
One time she went for an interview at Interscope Records, they told her to stop playing with Diddy.
Other entertainment companies had her blacklisted.

The defence came with another tactic. They pulled up evidence of Diddy settling her in 2015, on the condition that she doesn't say anything about him to the media.
Typical of him buying people's silence in their suffering.
All in all, the defence weren't really successful in discrediting her testimony.

She was able to convince them that her reason for sending him messages was because she wanted to be back in Hollywood.
Let's face it, she had a big career - a creative director of a global brand.

Setting up schedules, planning, executing tasks was her life.

Where do you go from there?

So I can understand where she was coming from.

It was a terrible day for Diddy as Capricorn unveiled his dark side, also a slight win for the prosecution.

I decided to save this part for the ending.
She said she had been telling Cassie to get away from Diddy but she said, "Jay-Z is already taken, who else can I date?" (Ohhh)
