DiddyGATE Trial - Week 7 Day One Saw Prosecution And Defence Round Up

So guys it's all coming to an end.
Nothing explosive for now, the prosecution has rested their case.
All they did on Monday was go through a bunch of messages and videos that we already know.

Next, the defense will plead their case.
This would include presenting exhibits to attempt to prove that Diddy isn't the bad guy everyone thinks he is.

The defense will be done with that by Wednesday (June 25th)

Diddy's lawyer said they won't be calling any witnesses to testify on his behalf.
I see why - they don't want the cross-examination of witnesses to expose more issues that won't favour them.

Diddy also said he won't testify - I guess he's also trying to avoid further scrutiny.
I mean, imagine him being on the stand and asked to explain why he's a big fan of baby oil.

So the trial has really been shortened because of this.
However, the defense is filing a 'Rule 29' motion, also called Judgement of Acquittal.

Meaning, they're requesting the court to dismiss Diddy's charges due to insufficient evidence (pops collar proudly for sounding like a lawyer).

Rule 29 is a common thing in court, but it's rarely granted.
In this case, I don't see the Judge saying 'Diddy go and sin no more', wasting the jury and everybody else's time.

But who knows?
By Thursday and Friday there'll be something called 'charging of the jury' - this is the important part.

This is where the Judge helps the jury understand the law and how to apply it.
Afterwards, the jury will be presented questions regarding Diddy's charges.
They'll select guilty or not guilty based on the way the charges are described, the wordings.

For example: Pr∆st_t¥tion - a detailed description of it will be provided, the jurors will decide whether it applies to Diddy based on the testimonies and exhibits.
Just like that for every charge.

After the jury is done with their deliberation (probably by Friday), the verdict will be delivered the following week.

It could be next Monday!

I really don't know what Diddy's fate will be.

Of all the allegations, the pr0-tit√tion and tr@ff--k-ng part is clear.
But then, if we're being honest, aside Diddy, it's something a lot of rich people do - they fly out folks for fun, and most folks want to be flown out too.
I dunno...
Fingers crossed.
