Police Bursts Human Trafficking Network And Rescue Victims..

On January 31, 2026, the Ondo State Police Command announced bursting a human trafficking network.
Their breakthrough came after a Togolese man named Meale Yaoili reported to the police on January 22 2026 that he was tricked into coming to Nigeria with false promises of a job in Canada.


Officers acted quickly.

They arrested several people involved in the syndicate, six suspects were named, including Cleude Grao, Samuel Dsiwa, Michael Amissa, Olayiwola Kazeem, Akinubi Adebayo, and Oluwole Vincent (who was the landlord of the place used for the operation).

Their victims who were 14 in total were rescued during two separate operations. The traffickers lured people with fake offers of work abroad.
