  2. Lols.....some local government areas in some states don't even have any. In Gusau, Zamfara state for example, most ppa do not provide any accommodation for Corp members serving with them. Each Corp member is on his own. Other LG areas in the state provide good accommodations with running water and standby generators(so I heard) buh Corp members in those places are scared cos of the possible insecurities that might be in those places.

  3. Too bad!!!I think non-govt organisations, banks, etc can make donations(housing)towards helping Nysc members. Lets not die ,because we come serve for 1yr.

    4. I did my NYSC there, it was a complete joke. The state capital "happens" only on one long road. Everything is on that road. Banks, ministries, governors lodge, NYSC secretariat, Mr Biggs and damn the place is dirty. Everyone is struggling. Their men are horrible, the women are clueless...I continue to exalt the name of God that service year is over

  22. ITS REALLY SAD THAT NIGERIANS ARE LIVING BELOW THE STANDARDS ACCEPTABLE FOR HUMAN DIGNITY. EVEN ANIMALS IN THE WESTERN WORLD ARE LIVING IN MORE SOPHISTICATED CONDITIONS THAN MANY NIGERIANS CAN DREAM OF. SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG WITH OUR LEADERS, AND EVEN MORE WITH US, FOR NOT FIGHTING THEM, FOR ACCEPTING THE PEANUTS THEY THROW AT US..
CANT THEY JUST SCRAP THE NYSC? THIS IS SO SHAMEFUL!

    1. NYSC should be scrapped off ! It has lost its objective. But the rot that runs deep in our system would not let them do the right thing! So many corpers have died on the road and at the hands of religious miscreants! I wait for the day the charade called NYSC would fade forever!

  31. Loll Kogi Governor is one of the worst governors, their kids leave in luxury in Dubai, London and America so no one cares. By the way which citizens SDK? citizens who know their right? Citizens deserve what they got after all they believe their leader most come from their tribe/religion. If they know their right our leaders won't take them for granted, election is coming how many of the youths are registered. Nigeria will change when citizens change their reasoning and see the leaders/politicians as our servants and not mini gods.

  36. Ha...u never jam. I stayed in irrua in edo state. This corpers lodge is even finer sef.the one I stayed in the wall fell at a point and we all had to share one dirty bathroom n toilet. I arrived just at the peak of lassa fever, resorted to eating sealed and canned food. The day I arrived I cried my eyes out with no shame as we new corpers were being served with rubbish crayfish stew.
I have no regrets in saying I bribed my way out of there as fast as I could

  40. @Anonymous 9:29 that cried her eyes out with no shame
You got me laughing really hard, I can just picture it! Lol.

NYSC was the slowest year ever for me, it was like time stood still. Was so glad when it ended although that meant job search and real life just started. I went down with malaria within 2 days of arriving in camp so needless to say, I hated being there and also hated having to wake up so damn early to do all those morning routines. Kai. Some of my really good friends today are people I met in camp though so no regrets.

The Nigerian govt doesn't have nysc on its list of priorities; it's only to chop money. Which way forward for Nigeria?! It's so tiring worrying about Nig sometimes. Sigh
