  4. It is a socio-cultural thing.
It is not targeted at women alone as some women want the world to believe.
    Men feel the heat too.
Some Men blunt it by taking it as a "compliment" that they are apparently capable of "providing" for a family.
Some men intensely dislike it as single women do.
Some men do not care. They live their lives to the max.
However, women as individuals are also known to be among the most disrespectful of single men and women.

  5. You have accomplished and they know it too
Nigerians just look for a way to say but at least I have this other thing you don’t have
They want your wealth but don’t have it so they want to diminish it with marriage talk

    1. Very true. They always want to feel like they have one-up on you. It's the same for married women who don't have children yet. You are not allowed to be happy cos you don't have kids yet. No matter how successful or accomplished you are in other areas of your life,as far as you don't have kids...you have nothing to them.

    1. Old age can be brutal with no support
If you hav kids and no money, I’ve seen the kids walk away. In this life just have money

    2. Look, a woman can have ten kids even more and still find herself in the gutters if good health is not on her side. Yes, there is usually one who will care the most, but what if something happens to that one. Go and find the nursing homes and see all the once married women who had children who are lucky if they get a visit once a year. I used to work in a call centre and would from time to time get old ppl call in just to talk to another human being. I took a crisis intervention course and the instructor informed us that Christmas time was the worst time to be a 911 operator because all the old lonely ppl would call the line just to speak with someone, he said it was very sad and depressing. Let us not forget that death has wiped out the spouse and children of some. Life can be vicious to ppl even when they have supposedly done everything right.

    3. You are right 20:54
      Unfortunately life can be cruel
Let’s all trust for the best and whatever situation you find yourself make the best of it
My friend Didn’t have kids but she does have one child that considers her the mum. Holidays and everything this child is around and gives her much joy
She also has lots of good friends

  7. Uriel, you are right on this. I totally agree with you 💯. Not everyone desires to be married. I find it utterly absurd when total strangers think they have an opinion on other people's life choices. All of you that want to marry, why don't you marry your marriage and leave other people the hell alone. How other people business take concern una self?

  8. Nigerians no wan hear that one..very sad

  9. Most people that try to use marriage as a criterion to judge a woman's accomplishments, do so from a place of jealousy and envy. By harping on her unmarried status, they feel it will diminish them and make them feel deficient
