What is happening right now in Nigeria politics is DEFINITELY not a Democratic system. One Party with no opposition party is definitely not a good thing for democracy and since everyone is joining the same party, i think we might as well have a Military government without wasting money on all those , corrupt, greeedy and power hungry politicians. Too many house of representatives and senators getting paid salaries for doing nothing
ReplyDeleteHonestly, no single worthy opposition, anywhere belle face people, all of them!!

DeleteWELL SAID! Bunch of greedy politicians with no integrity or common sense
Hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteI don't think APC osun is interested. Oyebamiji is well supported and has organised the Tinubu boys behind him. Omisore has consolidated in Ife. The igbimo agba don't want to take anyone in from their recent interviews. Both sides know there will be no wuruwuru of overnight voting in Ede and environs like last time and all he isn't coming with any strength - virtually all federal parliamentarians have left before him and the APC LGA people are not looking to be overtaken.
ReplyDeleteThe plan to foist himself on the solid structure in Osun from Abuja was not the best. He still has to approach Oyetola as a brother. That's who can soften the resolve of the Oyebamiji/Bashiru/etc caucus but they know a 2nd term governor cannot be reliable in terms of local deals and Osun is fully compliant for 2027 so he has nothing to add to what's on ground. Oyebamiji/ Oyetola/Bashiru placation deal leaves out Omisore and the massive Ife apparatus. Kabiyesi's palace hosting Omisore's camp with virtually all 16 kings attending is a serious signal. They will want serious compensation and Ife and the son of the soil machinery should not be minimised. But will Omisore still be Ife or nothing if he is not Ife's choice?
Adeleke has has a few days to make sensible decisions to finalise that APC ticket such that he doesn't break the jinx of no defection from Osun APC the last like 3 years. To win the ticket doesn't mean they will work with you. They can back a guy with one leg who will join APC a week after inauguration and his cabinet will reflect what awon agbaagba want.
Hon. Oyebamiji is Oyetola's boy. He already stepped down from NIWA sef.
